Founding of IPROS by Gerard DEVIMEUX
Founded in 1974 by Gérard Devimeux, a boilermaker specializing in gas, Ipros (Industrie PROduits Services) initially produced products intended for high temperature applications such as glassworks, forges, heavy metallurgical industries. In the 1980s, the activity was oriented towards the design and realization of high and low temperature combustion assemblies, with the creation of specific products adapted to surface treatment and the ceramic and agri-food industries.
In 1995, the increase in the use of plastics in the development of industrial products led Ipros to develop flaming systems. The development of this technique allowed Ipros to acquire an international reputation in this field. During these years, Ipros continued its activity of marketing equipment from major international firms such as Midco, North-American, Selas, Indesco, or Nordsea.
Following the sudden death of its creator, Ipros was taken over in 1998 by the SAFEM group. The evolution continues in services, with the establishment of a maintenance / after-sales team, capable of intervening for all commissioning operations, compliance, maintenance and troubleshooting on all installations, both in France and abroad. Today, nearly 20% of the activity is carried out for export.
In the 2020s, the company continues to grow and is structured by services, in order to better meet the demand of its customers. Several departments are thus set up: Technical and Commercial Service, Administrative and Finance, Studies-Methods-Research-Development, Electricity, After-Sales and Assembly Workshop - Assembly. The company is moving to more modern premises, which allows it to adapt its installation and be able to respond to new markets.
